Ampicillin is only taken for infection it is not good for a cold

I am a medicine student and have a 15 question test in one of my books that will be able to help me find a remedy so u can get rid of that cough. I always recomend natural remedies they work a lot better than regular medicine. I will need a little more detailed information about your cough.

No, a cold is a virus. Ampicillin is an antibiotic. Antibiotics can only be used to treat bacterial infections. Overuse of antibiotics to treat "colds" and other things they aren't meant to do have led to some strains of bacteria that are resistant and now harder to get rid of. If all you have is a cold, get yourself some Nyquil and let it run its course.

Only take it if you have a temp over 101, since that means you have an infection. If your temp is below that, ampicillin could make you sicker. Drink hot lemonade, rest, eat right, and your body will cure itself in about three days.
Don't take medicine prescribed for someone else,since body types differ.

Its used to prevent a secondary infection, your immunity is lower when your sick making it easier to get something else. A cold is a virus and it has to just run its course.
