The actual pronounciation is offen..., but some English people will pronounce the "t" anyway... just a simple lack of knowledge, just like any people, Engish speakers o not all have 90%+ in their ow language... I have hear many using "you was"...., but this too is a simple lack of knowledge or lack of interest in speaking the language in a correct manner....

So, offen.... is the correct use.......

uh, good question. If I'm being lazy or in a hurry, it's "ofen." If I'd doing public speaking, it's "oftin." (off tin)

The 't' is supposed to be silent technically speaking, but many people pronounce it anyway because they think that is the proper pronounciation.
