heleb,
Just a simple yes or no would do. Does Israel have a right to exist or not?

linlyons,
Very clever. Israel, of course, has a prior claim and even you should recognise that Israel has the better claim. Now all we have to do is give back the USA to the Native Americans, Australia to the aborigines and New Zealand to the Maoris.

Interesting, Nightingale, why do you deny a group of people their right of self determination? Would you do that to any other group?

rose, rose, rose,
Will you and others like you never learn? Your descent into the sewer of hatred and personal verbal attack shows your lack of capacity for reasoned argument. If you can't be civil, get off these pages. YOU HAVE BEEN REPORTED.

YES.

All nations and states have a right to exist within secure borders.

This is ethically and morally unequivocal.

that's a in demand phenomenon. fairly earlier to the tip of international conflict 2 Israel did no longer exist - by no ability had. the area was once a area of the Ottoman Empire earlier to the defeat of the Ottomans in WW1. Hebrews did stay interior the regularly occurring area, yet so did Arabs - they are all in certainty of the comparable Semitic genetic inventory. although if, after WW2 the winners - England, France, the U. S. and Russia sat right down to settle on how the positioned up-conflict international would be. They have been inspired with the help of a team of persons - call them Zionists - who had this hassle-free concept that God had given them the superb to the land of Palestine (from the time of Moses). So between the flaws that became into completed became into the introduction of the fellow made state of Israel with the help of the British, French, US and so on., on land that became into presently occupied with the help of a mix of Arabs (Palestinians), and Hebrews (Jews) - many extra Palestinians than Hebrews at that element. those peoples had lived jointly in relative unity for some years until the Zionists forced for the introduction of Israel. that's the reason the Arab international thinks that the state of Israel shouldn't exist. This has additionally better over the years into anger against Jews, rather with the way that the Israelis have been treating the Palestinians recently.

Yes.

In 1948, the land partitioned to the Jews had a Jewish majority. Also, the Jews lived there in ancient times, before Islam was even a religion. Therefore, the Jews have the right to own Israel. As for secure borders, all nations deserve that.

If you want to go back even further, then the tribe of Israel took the land forcibly from the Canaanites who were Arabs. So no that kind of crap doesnt really work. Under Muslim rule, Christians and Jews lived in peace and security in the area. When the Christians took Jerusalem in the crusades they massacred everybody, Jew, Muslim and Christian who didnt believe what they did. When the Jews took over they committed regular atrocities and stole land. Not to mention they engaged in numerous terrorist activites beforehand. The Zionist state is there for now. The Muslims took back the land from the Christians after a hundred year period in the crusades. They will inevitably take it back again from the Jews. So will you be asking then if the Muslim state has a right to exist within secure borders or will you be crying about the displaced Jews and the terrible injustice done to them?

i am not sure what you mean by 'has a right to' and i am not a muslim so i cannot effectively answer your question.
YET

What is the important issue is that nations are competeing with a different set of desired outcomes.
If a common goal could be found the benefits would be mutual. to share land is not to give up a land ? Maybe the ideals are what we should be reinvestigating. Since i do not believe they are about ownership.

a chat that shows diaparate views.
to reconcile them we need to look for common teachings.
The teaching of allah should be taken apparantly above the teaching of government/man thus what does the koran say about the ownership of land??
I know in the bible the wanderers (Abel/Cain) are the surviving people as opposed to the settlers thus implying people move over land as opposed to owning it. I am only guessing though.

Chessie, if you don't know the History of the Middle east, you should remain silent or ask a question.
Remember, the Jews lived in that land long before the so-called Palestanians. They were driven out mostly by the romans; and when the Arabs conquered that area, they settled there. The Jews have a right to exist.
Thats not a question for Muslims...of course, the Muslims intend to kill all Jews.-

Jewish people were there first and the land is theirs.
However these are all one people & they must try to get along.
No separate race in Mid East.
I know muslims cant live alongside other religions in mid east like they have to in West but they will have to try.
The bloodshed must stop and who wins from war?
It has to stop, see this is my prob with religion & intolerance.

Yes as does any other country in the region, only those close to Israel are under threat from it, ie Palastine, Lebannon, Syria etc. Israelies have to get over themselves and stop playing the innocent as they are far from it.

As for existing, if it was a choice, I would say no, too many problems have arised due to Israel and its creation.
