Just tell him honestly as much as you enjoy him as a friend you do not see him in that kinda of way. You can also say that as flattered as you are he asked you, you are waiting for someone else (like the person you have a crush on) to ask you. Explain although you are not going to the dance together you hope you can still be friends and hang out. I am sure he will appreciate your honesty. Best of luck and enjoy the dance.

Its always hard to let someone down. How about not letting him ask. Next time you are together say something like "I am hoping to go to homecoming with so and so". Sometimes is easier to avoid the question by answering it for them.

So you don't like him at all? Tell him that you would go to homecoming with him but ONLY AS FRIENDS! Good luck

If you don't want to go with him then just say NO...it's as simple as that. Now, if you don't like him in that way, but you know you guys would have a good time, then why don't you suggest a group of you going...and let him know it's just as friends.

You dont have to say nothing. He knows. If you dont have someone you like to go with, just enjoy the night. Sort things later. You never know things may be opposite after that night.
It is a beautiful thing to know someone likes you.

just tell him no.. i know it's hard to say it coz you dont want to disappoint him but there's no other way to let him know that you dont like the idea of goin with him on the homecoming.. just say it on a nice way.. coz what you say is as important as how you say it!! *wink*

Just tell him that you have other plans. If you are planning to go to the dance alone, that does constitute "other plans". If you aren't planning on going to the dance.....your plans were something other than the dance.

At some point you are going to have to tell him you are only interested in friendship though.....

Just be honest with him tell him you just like him as a friend and if he's willing to go with you as friends you'd be happy to go with him

If you don't like that awnser just tell him you're already going with someone else and then find someone else to go with

When he asks, just say "Sure! I'd love to go as friends". If he doesn't go with that, he's a creep.

Just say "No, but I still want to be friends." Easy enough.
