Any one heard of or used Second Chance lending group? I am in desperate need of a short term loan because of identity theft and someone stealing money from our bank account so my credit looks bad eventhough it is not my fault. I applied with this company but they want me to pay a down payment on the loan. I have never heard of this so I didn't know if it was a scam or not. I can't afford to be scammed anymore right now. Please if anyone has any experience let me know. Thanks!

I agree with the other poster - stay away from them.

I've tried to look them up but haven't found much on them. The BBB says that the company opened their BBB file on July of 2006

Sounds like a pretty new company so no telling if they are a here today gone tomorrow type of company.

Have you filed a police report? If not you should. You might even want to think about putting a fraud alert on your reports.

A couple ideas of where to look for a short term loan:
Your bank or credit union.
Citifinancial - but their interest is on the high side.
prosper.com - do some reading on the site and join a group that has a good group leader.

Stay away from any that require money up front.

I have never heard of Second Chance Lending Group, but DON'T DO IT!!!!!!!!

You should NEVER have to make a down payment on something like a loan.

IT IS A SCAM!!!!!!!!!

If you had money, you would't need a loan....DO NOT give away money to get money.

I would report them with the Better Business Bureau.
