That's teenagers for you. If you think that's bad, you should have my 9 year old son for a day!!!!! It doesn't help having a younger daughter as she's following in his footsteps and her attitude is getting worse.

Hello Precious Mother,

Okay all 13 year olds are like that. I sure was. My parents were sooo involved in the church, family, friends activities … and lugged me around everywhere. I think the best thing, honestly is the to be firm on how you advise her to behave appropriately. Keeping in mind she is going to rebel with out much reason. Be cautious that she is going through a lot of emotional changes everywhere (home, school, etc). So be patient, I know its hard. Of course I am not suggesting you let her get away with murder, but be patient and firm, make sense?

See my mom was very firm, but not patient and we still have A LOT of resentment from my teenage years. She reminds me to this day (actually she did it last night, “remember when you were 13”). Good grief!!! So I do not want that for you. I imagine you would prefer a good strong relationship with your daughter.

So my best advise… firm (she thank you later) and patient (she love you always).

Take care…

It is hard to say because I am in the same situation. I have a 12 yr old girl. Take away her privileges and let her know if she wants to be treated like she is old enough to do things she has to treat you and her siblings with respect. Let her know you are worring about the way she acts and it is hurting you.

All 13 year old girls are like that the best thing to do is not let her get away with it. She will thank you for it later.

Yes that is typical, but you have to stand your ground and be the parent.
