Is it knowable at all? Can it be seen? Is it made of natural things or not natural things? Is it all knowing or all powerful or both? How will I know I'm sane at the time?

In other words what is it exactly that we claim to believe in? And can we believe in something we can not describe or even know?

When spelt God, we (you) refer to the one true and living Almighty God. He is not referred to as 'it'. He is real. We do not believe we can see Him for He is spirit and we all are spirit - His spirit abiding within us.

Yes, He is all-knowing, all-seeing, all-powerful. In truth, He is the power to which we refer. It is not corect to say He has power - He is power! Remember, He is omnipresent, omnipotent and omniscient.

Trust me, you will be quite sane, if He did allow you to see Him in the flesh. However, He did tell Moses, when asked to see His glory, that no man can see His face and live. Even though Moses was in His presence when He received the Ten Commandments, he had to cover his face because God's glory was too much for him to behold.

When we are ready to allow God to be the center of our lives, He gives us insight (so-to-speak) of who He is; He puts into our spirits (the true us) what He is and we come to understand in a different manner. Things which previously seemed insane and incredulous, then become clear and, as with me, we wonder how come we did not think of them that way before.

To answer your last question, "Yes, we can believe in something we cannot describe or even know." We believe on faith! It's the only way to get His attention. Children have faith. They believe in Santa Claus, the Tooth Fairy, and the Easter Bunny. It works for them, but the question is, are they real?

If God is all things, then you must be seeing "her" all of the time. I see God in the sunrise and in my son's face and the waves of the ocean. It's what you feel when you look at something...If you are feeling love then your are being a part of the one. Try it sometime. When you look through the eyes of the ultimate observer you see things differently. Look at yourself through these eyes as well.

When you want to know and see that there is a God...you will. Let go of your ego, your judgments, and all of your ideas. Forget the material world, close your mind down and sit quietly - be open to any experience and then you will experience God.

God is everywhere. To have a relationship with Him you need to know first that He is imcomparable to anything one can imagine. He is the Greatest, the Creator, the most Merciful. None has the right to be worshipped except Allah, alone and without partner.

Having lots of arms or an elephant's head (unless what you are looking at is actually an elephant) are two of the giveaway signs. Here's a picture to get to you started:

If you pray for the ability to discern that, God will honor that prayer. He wants you to come to know Him and He will help you on your way whenever you seek Him.

I believe in a higher power, or God, and I believe it is within all of us, connecting us. So you can look inside your heart, and God is there.

You will know if the god wants you to know, but unless your heart and soul is in the right place,,,,,, you arent going to come across a God.

It's not a question of "if" you run across God, it's a question of when? More importantly it's a question of what side of the great divide you "run across" Him.

Which ever it is, I promise that you will know.

Paramahansa Yogananda was hanging out with Babaji, who could do anything he felt like whenever wherever however and couldn't be killed and was practically god based on how you would act if you could imagine limitlessness

Ah! Perhaps people are running across God all the time, but they simply don't realize it.
