Yes Will. Often in life, we will read things, very deep things, and it's like we've known it all along. We've just forgotten it somehow. Do you believe in reincarnation? Well if you didn't learn it this time around, when did you learn it? It's not the when or how, listen to the inner voice, it is right, and you know that too.
Then there are the times, that the inner voice will whisper to us. And we know things to be true. Don't try to explain it to the soul searchers, for they know not. They are too skeptical to hear their own inner voice. Just smile, and Know...wisdom comes from within...stay in touch with it.
Blessed Be....

I think so because they could have learned it before they can remember learning it. Think of a small child who hits another child and causes the child to cry. Now maybe the child that did the hitting is the sensitive type and did not know that tears would come by the action but when they did the action they saw the hurt. Perhaps they remembered this without 'knowing' how.. and for the rest of their life they just 'knew' that causing such pain to another is wrong.

Yes, it's called wisdom, my fellow truth-seeker.
I know this not because I am wise, but only because others before me were wise.
Also, there are many different levels of "knowing something".
As other answerers have noted, our subconscious mind "knows something" without our conscious mind necessarily sharing that knowledge, which unfortunately is one of the primary causes of many emotional disorders.

Yes. But explaining it would take a one on one. This site does nothing for real communication. I do know you are a very intellignent and openminded truth seeker though and I respect that. Sorry for the vague answer.

Eastern meditation techniques reveal that we all have hidden wisdom and knowledge deep inside of us. We just have to learn to access it.
An ancient Persian proverb says, "Seek truth in meditation, not in moldy books. Look to the sky for the moon, not in the pond."
Jesus said, "Seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness..."
In another place, he tells where to seek that kingdom and it's benefits when he says, "... the kingdom of heaven is inside you."
Have you ever heard something that was so simple and yet so profound that you seemed to already know it? It was there all the time, and just had to be uncovered. You are full of God's timeless wisdom and light. Learn to look inside and you will find it.

Nobody knows how they know anything. We can give our reasoning, but how that reasoning was possible is still unknown. No adequate theory can explain consciousness, much less how we are conscious of anything. To move beyond that to knowledge is thus impossible.
One useful test is action. If I make it from A to B, I know how, whether I can explain it or not.

I feel this is possible. For example, if you've been doing a job for so long you no longer remember how you know the answer. It's just "habit" for you, based on experience.
I find it fun to try and figure it out, tho. :)

I believe there is something called "wind"... I've never actually seen it, but I've "felt something" and seen effects of it... Other people tell me it exists...
I'm not sure HOW I know there really is such a thing, but I believe it, based on the evidence...

sure
like how i know that killing is wrong and rapeing is wrong, i just *know* that
and while some people might *know* god, would you and me, who don't *know* allah, have a problem if muslims wanted to tell you and me what to do based on the koran, because they just *know* its the will of allah that we pray 5 times a day, or how we get married, etc.
or would we be obligated to say wait a minute, somethings not right,
would you and me, just *know* having someone force a religion on us is *wrong*

Yeah, I know I do. I know a lot about pop culture and I always wonder how I know that stuff. I don't exactly know how I know it though.
