TheMaverick,

Hovind doesn't hold a Ph.D.

He bought one from a degree mill. Those are places where you send them $300 and they send you a diploma.

You should get better educated about the integrity of the people you follow.

PS: he's also under multiple felony indictments.

The words moron, liar and fraud come to mind. I'm sure I could think of more, if I put my mind to it.

Kent Hovind is a young-earth creationist who gives frequent public lectures on evolution and creationism. He is well-known for repeating the claim that the remains of a basking shark found by Japanese fishermen off the coast of New Zealand were actually those of a recently deceased plesiosaur.
Hovind claims to possess a masters degree and a doctorate in education from Patriot University in Colorado. According to Hovind, his 250-page dissertation was on the topic of the dangers of teaching evolution in the public schools. Formerly affiliated with Hilltop Baptist Church in Colorado Springs, Colorado, Patriot University is accredited only by the American Accrediting Association of Theological Institutions, an accreditation mill that provides accreditation for a $100 charge. Patriot University has moved to Alamosa, Colorado and continues to offer correspondence courses for $15 to $32 per credit. The school's catalog contains course descriptions but no listing of the school's faculty or their credentials. Name It and Frame It lists Patriot University as a degree mill.

Hovind started a Baptist Christian school and church, at which he pastored and taught for fifteen years. Hovind has no teaching credential or academic degrees from accredited universities in the subjects he taught. In 1989, Hovind started his Creation Science Evangelism with no academic background in science.

I know that what he has has PhD in, it's nothing that relates to the beginnings of the universe. It's not physics, or astronomy, or... hell even archeology would be something at least. Even Philosophy! But no, it's education. Great, so he can teach. Too bad he has nothing real to teach about.

Edit: Oh, even better, I see that it's actually in "Christian education" from UNaccredited institutions. This gets better by the minute.

Kent Hovind also known as Dr. Dino is a quack. He fights evolution with loooooong ago discredited arguments and ignores all the new science as it comes out.

He believes that humans and dinosaurs lived together!! Like the Flinstones! He believes the Flintstones were real!

While I appreciate the information... I have to wonder about the thought process of presenting information regarding the validity of a source to those who believe 100% in the bible, the book of unproven, multiple sources...
