you should face the feelings you are experiencing now...and I know it sounds dumb, but try writing down your feelings, or even speak into a tape recorder (when you can later throw the tape away) doing those things will help the "ache" and of course, time is the best cure for the pain. You are a pretty cool guy to be open enough to even ask this question :)

First of all YES let yourself experience the pain and yep- cry- crying is very healthy and eases the pain believe it or not! Of course you feel lonely and even a little lost when u break up with someone BUT take things day by day- try to get out with your friends and people who care about you! Go ahead and use nights for the crying and hurt u may feel. Before u know it you will be able to remember her and think of things with a smile instead of with pain! Its gonna take time it always does! Good luck to u sweetheart!

Sometimes these things just need to play themselves out. I know it's hard to not think about her but it will get better. You are already becoming active and moving on which is great sooner or later the thoughts of her will fade into the background like an old memory. Forcing yourself to do or not do something may just make things harder. Just take it day by day and you will realize that you think about her less and less. My very best wishes for you.

you can't control your thoughts pain is pain no matter how you look at it.It is good that your not rolling over and giving up. Keep doing what your doing. Break ups take time to get over. You just need to go through the healing process.good luck.

i've been there sweetie...it hurts...i know. even though its hard, i think its good to let yourself feel the pain...we are human, we are supposed to feel pain, its how God made us. staying active is good, but dont burn yourself out trying to forget her. the only thing that will do that is time.
i wish u luck in finding the right person for you, because evidently, she was not. u sound like a good man, and if u r patient, the right one will come along.

Maybe the way she broke up with you is what's wrong.I mean if you talk to her and clear it up then maybe you'll feel better.
