It is the time when Saturn returns to the same place in the sky as it was on your birth. It teaches a lesson, depending on the house Saturn is in at birth. It occurs around your 28-29th birthday and lasts about 2.5 years. You have at least two. And they occur around every 29 years or so. One at 28-29, the next at 58 or so and if you're lucky enough to live that long, the third one around 80ish.

You cannot actually return a Saturn, but they will work very hard to make you happy. Gotta love those folks from Tennessee.

If you're talking about the Saturn Return in your horoscope, these are the times in your life when you have the opportunity to learn difficult, profound lessons. Around age 28 or 29, and again around age 57 or 58, if I remember aright.

Second Saturn return usually indicates a woman becoming of age to be acknowledged as a Crone. (In some traditions) This usually takes place at age 58.
I am guessing for a male it would be the same only with the title Sage.

In classical mythology, the Golden Age took place during the reign of Cronus (Saturn to the Romans). Peace and harmony prevailed during this age. Humans did not grow old, but died peacefully. Spring was eternal and people were fed on acorns from a great oak as well as wild fruits and honey that dripped from the trees. The spirits of those men who died were known as Aimones and were guides for the later ancient Greeks (who considered themselves to live in the later Iron Age.)

This race eventually died out when Prometheus (a Titan) gave the secret of fire to men. Zeus punished men, allowing Pandora to open her box which unleashed all evil in the mortal world.

Within sequences or cycles of eras, the golden age stands alongside the silver age and the iron age, and conditions can improve or decline according to one's conception of mythic progression.
