religion is only important to the ppl that belive in it. i am not one of these ppl so im not gonna send u hate mail but be prepared to get it with both barrels from the belivers here. lol baricade urself in and batten down the hatches cause u prob get stoned to death for voicing an opinion.

Well.........Perhaps you have a point despite the succinct manner in which you posed the question!
Lets just say that the purpose of religion is really to be a guideline for how people should live their lives, and how to co-exist in harmony with others.
Unfortunately there are some people in this world who manipulate religion for their own purposes and use it as a tool to control the masses.
It's not that religion is a bad thing, it's just that in the wrong hands it's an accident waiting to happen!

Because it gives people something to believe in.But beliefs can be dangerous...look at the witch trials..and other beliefs as well...and the conflicts when you won't convert to Christianity*supposedly they say you're going to hell or something like that*. I just say*whatever* to them. Beliefs are dangerous....
