I love bodybuilding.but i also have been playing guitar for 9 years and im quiet good at it.i wonder if too much training at the gym can effect my fingers "speed"?what should i do then?
i dont want my fingers to be "slopy" and slow on the guitar...they work very well now...

i have been body building for over 15 years and i also play giitar and have not noticed any difference in my playing.

Doesn't make sense that keeping your body in tip top shape would in any way affect the speed of your fingers unless you accidentally drop a weight on them. Ask a trainer at the gym to make sure you are using the proper grip and technique and not putting too much stress on the finger and hands rather than the muscles you are trying to build.

Bodybuilding will improve muscle strength and motor function, even in your hands.

I once saw a movie were Schwarzenegger held a pencil in one hand (four fingers wrapped around it) and he cracked it by just moving his thumb forward. This is a thing which many of us cannot do. You should try it sometimes.

Bodybuilding will increase your grip and finger strength. This is because the weight increases and you are forced to maintain a rigid grip on the weights. I too had an increase in muscle tissue and strength in my hands since I started.

i paint and also do graphic with computer. i do weight lifting and didn't do any effect on my finger. use a gloves to protect your hands. this is what i usualy do. i workout alot lately and with these gloves it doesn't harm to my fingers.

Yes. It somehow makes skin of your finger and hand rougher.
