A true Christian is not bound by any one religion. A Christian is someone that seeks truth in spirituality, doesn't put down others with dissimilar or similar belief structures, and deeply works towards understanding all roads, and paths to God. The interpretation of the Bible, Koran, Torah, etc... are interpreted by humans, thus there is room for misunderstanding. Christians are individuals, not a group of people. Christians believe in God and are in daily pursuits to succeed at the ultimate law of life, which simply is to Love One Another. The law is LOVE.

A Christian is one who believes in Christianity, which is, I believe, worship of God and His son, Jesus. The New Testament of the Bible is...well...read? believed? by Christians. There are two types of Christians: Protestants and Catholics. I'm not exactly sure what the difference between them is...no, I kind of do. I think there was a new way that Christianity was going or something, and the Protestants....protested it, and stayed with the old way? I don't know...I do know that Catholics put more store by the Virgin Mary, though! If I am wrong, by all means, correct me...I'm not Christian myself, so...

Christian is a name derived from that of Christ himself.

The name refers to all those who have been anointed through the gift of the Holy Spirit in Baptism; hence, the followers of Christ, the members of the Christian Church.

According to Acts 11:26 "it was in Antioch that the disciples were first called Christians."

With love in Christ.

A Christian is a follower of Jesus of Nazareth, referred to as Christ. Christians believe Jesus to be the Son of God, who lived a life befitting that of the creator of the universe, free of sin, who at the end of his earthly life was crucified, and then on the third day, rose from the dead, and later ascended into heaven. These beliefs are held by the vast majority of Christian denominations.

Christians believe that Jesus offers salvation, and that it is only possible because of him. Apart from Jesus Christ, there is no salvation. Ephesians 2:8-9 states that "It is by grace you have been saved, through faith, and that not of yourselves it is the gift of God that no one should boast" (NIV). Humans cannot save themselves through good works, but only Jesus can. Good works, however, are a result of living according to the Word of God. Christians identify themselves as monotheistic, believing that there is one God. Most sects incorporate God as a periphrasis of three persons: Father (the Source, the Eternal Majesty); the Son (the eternal Logos or Word, incarnate as Jesus of Nazareth); and the Holy Spirit (the Paraclete or advocate). Today, it is estimated that there are around 2.1 billion Christians in the world making up 33% of the world population, with the largest Christian denomination being Roman Catholicism.

A Christian is a person who believes that Jesus Christ died on a cross to save them from their sins. This person has repented of their sins, accepted Christ as savior, and follows the teachings of Jesus in the bible. A Christian also should be acquainted with the bible and believe it is the inspired word of God. I'm very shocked that so many "Christians" don't read the bible at all, or don't believe it to be true.

A Christian is a Christ follower!
One who has repented from their sin and found forgiveness in Jesus Christ, the perfect sacrifice for sin.

It is then living in God's ways and seeking to do His will for your life.

A true Christian is someone who believes in and willingly follows the teachings of Jesus. Which in essence is to think and act with compassion and forgiveness to others, even if they are not exactly your friends.

christian_lady_2001 has hit it dead on!! She is absolutely right! A christian is one who has recognized that they have sinned against God. They recognize that they cannot get to heaven because God is pure and cannot allow sin to enter His kingdom. Therefore, he has sent His son, Jesus Christ into the world to cover our sins and allows God to see us as being "right" with Him. Only the people who realize this and take it to heart can be called "christians". After people recognize they have sinned, they can repent (be honestly sorrowful) of their sin and ask Jesus to come into their heart to cleanse them from their evil deeds. Jesus will do that (As He has done to me). Then you need to be baptized and publicly testify that you have done that. Then you will have JOY unspeakable! Burdens will be lifted! You will have a thirst for the things of God! Start reading your bible and attend a good bible believing church. Start listening to Christian radio. Your life will never be the same - it will be so much better! There is a whole christian community waiting to rejoice with you for making this decision. They will also help to guide you as you walk with Jesus in your heart!
