..start moving your muscles.

You can build muscle in practically any way.
Weak women who have children develop strong arm muscles from lifting their child all the time. People in jail who have no equipment manage to become huge by repeating the same movements over and over.

You don't necessarily need any equipment. Use your body weight. Sit ups and push ups. Go slowly and use the muscle as you flex both ways rather than for example do a sit up then fall back down. Lower yourself back down to the ground keeping the muscle tense.

Look online for a whole list of exercises if you need help on targetting any areas or some ideas on what to do.
If you want to do it properly and avoid potential injury/overuse get a few lessons with a personal trainer at a local gym. They will show you the right form and a workout which you can continue on your own.

Think about this: if diet pills, ANY DIET PILL, worked, there would be absolutely NO FAT PEOPLE in this world!!! None of them work. They hype up your energy with caffeine, they are expensive and they make money for the manufacturers. Losing weight takes some sacrifice. The good news is that even small changes will affect your weight. Get some good nutritional advice to start new habits, like portion control. Walking at different rates of speed will burn as much body fat as jogging. Start at 15 min. a day, then up it to 30! You don't need to go overboard and when you do it yourself, you have a good dose of self-esteem to boot! Look up the "Exchange Diet"; it's good and healthy. Moderation in all things, honey! God Bless.

Kind of a mixed question, since diet and exorcise are big parts of building muscle. A good way to look at it is to note that the greater your muscle mass, the more calories your body naturally burns, so by building up muscle you burn calories more easily and the less rigid your diet needs to be, still within moderation mind you.

At first choose a fitnesscenter you want to attend. The selection is very important; you'll like going to gym much more if you feel good there and like the enviroment. Ask a trainer there to help you with the beggining.
One last thing; building muscle does burn fan, but it'll add you weight. Though I think it's much better than diet:)
Crossed fingers:)!

It does. Start by getting some exercise.
Do something you enjoy, and do it with a friend.

er... it will take exercise to build muscle. Strength training vs aerobic activity.

If your goal is to ultimately loose weight in size you need to balance your exercise regime with more cardio than weight lifting but, you always have to eat a balance diet weather your into bodybuilding or, just regular exercising to loose weight.

My husband bought me a bowflex. I love it. I work out four days a week. You should look into something like that unless you want to join a gym.
