There is no place to "write in" votes where I go to vote every Election Day.

In my polling place, you use a pen to complete an arrow. To cast a "write-in vote", you literally write a name in the blank under "write-in" (usually at the bottom of the choices for that particular office) and complete that arrow.

I don't think putting a blank line on a ballot is a very good thing. We'd have kermit the frog on the oval office for years to come

You have to ask for a seperate ballot I think.
