Agreed with Matt - you just know.
You share your thoughts and ideas and never hesitate to do so, knowing that they would be accepted and not judged, as he will do with you. When you have complete faith in each other, even when things go wrong, you just know that they are doing or making the right decision. You never doubt that person's actions, knowing full well they have the best intentions, especially when it comes to you.
Yes, I have met my soulmate.

I am told that we often meet others who we are soul mates with - male and female. These people help us to develop, we often feel as if we know them - so things like what they do, what they did in the past are of not much interest to us because on a deeper level we know them already. A 'twin soul' is a much rarer thing. When you meet your twin soul this is 'the one (opposite sex) who balances everything out. we can often meet our twin soul at some point in our lives, but one or the other is not ready yet and you both move on - may meet up later in life or in the next life.
When you do get together it's for more altruistic reasons - you have both reached a level where you have developed enough to recognised your twin soul and you join together usually to do good - to jointly work together for the benefit of others or the community.

Well, did your heart skip a beat when you saw him? Does your stomach feel like you've got a thousand butterflies fluttering around inside? Do you day dream about him and come back to reality finding out you've been smiling to yourself all the while?
Do you get on well with him? Does it feel like you've known him for years? Does he finish every sentence you start? Does he seem to know how to treat you well?
Do you think he feels the same way?
Do you now think you've met your soul mate?

You won't know, it will just happen. Nobody knows if "soul mates" exist, it seems to be this buzz word that everyone is using all of a sudden.
Nobody is perfect, they might just be perfect for you at that particular moment in your life. Don't set yourself impossible goals like finding your one true love in the entire world. You have as much chance of finding that person as winning the lottery. Be happy while you can with whoever you can.
Prince Charming only exists in your head. Leave him there and live in the real world.

How indeed! It's the darnedest thing. One minute everything is normal and suddenly everything is changed. I can't get Her out of my head. I try and focus on what the day's demanding and still, lingering like silver dust; She's there. In my dreams and even in my waking moments. At really inopportune times too! Her words sound like music, and ring so true. Her opinions carry behind them so much more than others. I feel incomplete, where before I felt just fine. I want to be with Her, I don't care about other things; they're just things; I want to be beside Her. Nothing seems very important except Her. I may not be perfect, and perhaps ( although I doubt it! ) She may not be perfect; but She's perfect for me! I doubt this helps you at all because when it hits you you don't need to question; you know. Good luck, I hope it happens to you!

from a different perspective there are people whom you have had past connections with[past lives] ,like you know them immediately ,but there is no perfect soul mate your soul mate is never on earth when you are [soul mate is the other half of yourself ].
so when people say i have met my soul mate my perfect match there really is no such thing ,only souls you have come across through eons of time .
it is the same thing as when you meet someone and INSTANTLY don't trust ,don't like ,same thing ,a soul connection that was not pleasant in a past life .
when we meet someone who is familiar feeling in a pleasant way we are connecting to a past experience really .

There's no such thing as one single soul mate in the "romantic" sense. We all have many soul mates in life, usually people we have spent other lifetimes with, as friends, lovers, spouses, parents, siblings etc.
You know when you have met your life partner, when you decide that you have.

CHEESE ALERT... This is the only way I can describe how I felt the second I laid eyes on my partner is.... I didn't realise that the earth spun, until I felt it stand still.
I know it prob makes you wanna puke but its true. The second I laid eyes on him I lost my peripheral vision, all I could see was him...nothing and nobody else...
No...!!! its not been 'little house on the prairy' ever since. Sometimes it really is hard work, but I know I couldn't and wouldn't want to live without him...

My brother and his wife said they were soul mates. They got divorced this year.
