i am a 15 year old male and i just went to the doctor and i had +3 of protein in my urine, everything else was normal. it was not morning but i am still concerned. please only answer this question if you understand what i am talking about and tell me if i should be worried or if there could be anything wrong that canNOT be cured with some medicine.

If you have been in training, swimming or something, very hard it may be normal.

Anytime you have a showing of protein on a "dipstick" test, you should have a follow-up/further testing.(i.e. repeat the "dipstick" test, and maybe then follow-up with a 24hours urnie test.)

Protein in the urine could mean you have a number of things to be concerned about..i.e.polycystic kidney disease, diabetic nephropathy.

Sometimes stress,strenuous exercise can cause protein to show up in the urine.

Surely, you physician will re-test/follow-up, and can certainly explain things better to you, regarding your test results.
Make sure you have a follow-up with your physician.

yeah, you should have trace to no protein in your urine. It generally means you have kidney issues, but because your an adolescent it could be different. Sorry, I'm not a pediatric nurse so I don't remember much about lab differences.

If it were me I would be concerned. You need furthure testing.
