I was going to say something else but I decided to go this route.

An atheist will be the most surprised that God exist.

Why because if the believers are wrong, and they aren't, but if they were then they wouldn't know that they were because they would be dead and no longer exist.

I would say the first, since most Christians I know base their lives on that lie, whereas the atheist finding god does exist (presumably upon his or her death) would be surprised, but not quite as surprised since atheists don't generally base their lives on not believing in god, but on all the other things there are in day to day life to concern themselves with. Ya never know... finding out that a god DOES exist after you die might be a pleasant surprise for some atheists! I don't think that the reverse could ever be true for a Christian "true believer".

i love this question. But I think both would be equally surprised to find out that god dosent exist. And for that matter so would I. Maybe he dosent exist in the way that we were taught or programmed to believe he exists. Anyone who claims they are an atheist I challenge him to not believe in god of man. But believe in yourself in the way of god

By definition, a believer would never acknowledge God doesn't exist, so by their ignorance could never be surprised. Most atheists, however, have simply been waiting for proof. I doubt there'd be surprise, just the intellectually pleasure of discovery. And he wouldn't be afraid (which is your real question), because a truly omnipotent all-loving all-knowing being would be unconditionally forgiving, and won't resemble any of the vengeful, narcacistic dieties portrayed by modern religions.

I'd be far more suprised if a believer realized there was no God. This would require independent thought, something the Christian churches condition people not to do. They'd also be going against their upbringing and conflict with family & church friends.

An athiest is someone who has already thought about all the options. People are generally not born athiests; they come to this conclusion on their own.

probably the believer because they spend their whole life with the idea that God exists and Jesus died for all tehir sins. Therefore when you find out it is not true you are hurt and heart broken. If a non believer finally sees proof that there is a God then they're just like, oops dang. I was wrong, there is a God. Cool!!

God does exist, so there will be no surprises for the believer.

By "believer", I'm assuming "Christian"?

Definitely the Christian. He/She is expecting the Pearly Gates of Heaven, and it isn't there. Disappointment. Especially when they are told that they will have to choose yet another life here on earth in order to learn the lessons that they did not learn in this life.

Whereas the Atheist was expecting nothing. Relief. The atheist gets to choose another life on earth rather than not exist.

Well, #1 could never occur because the believer would simply be dead dead dead with no realization whatsoever. So I guess it would have to be #2. He will walk into a dark heaven, then they will turn on the lights and jump out at him with balloons and confetti saying Surprise Surprise Surprise!

I would go with number one. A believer that finds out that God does not exist would really be blown away by this! I tend to believe that our mainstream of life is energy. When you die, you go into the light, a ball of energy and then get regenerated into a new life, the basis for dejavu(sp).
