put up a picture that you look you best in.. or a model or someone you think looks hot and keep it in the back of your mind.. see if one of your friends wants to loose weight or go on a diet with you.. play the biggest looser game with them and see who looses the most in a month or so??

"PEX" in your other post you said you lost 11 pounds and 16 inches........my guess is you sell the cleansing diet. My friends mom swares by a full length mirror, and eating naked. It sounds crazy but since we spend 99 percent of our waking time with clothes on hiding our bodies (and in denial!!) there is no better motivation than this. Just try it once

Don't diet just exercise.
The best motivation is to not think about it or dwell on anything but just force yourself to do it and keep your mind busy.

I have found that something that works for me are "treats" I buy for myself everytime I hit a milestone on my way to my goal. Every 5 pounds lost, and I buy myself a new outfit (I have 2 new outfits already!); it helps to have nice, new clothes that fit at each stage of weight loss and it motivates me to keep going so I can look even better in future "treat" outfits.

getting fat, and feeling good... have you ever looked at someone who has just beautiful skin? more than likely they drink a lot of water! Have you seen any one with a great body? they work out and eat right? etc... you can go on... what motivates me is setting goals of how I want to be and seeing what I need to change or what I can do to become better!

it's entirely up to you. one good motivation is your health. based on my experience doing clinical rotations at hospitals, diabetic patients are the toughest to treat because they require a lot of medications, and if there are any other health problems besides diabetes itself, let's say heart problems, it's hard to treat the patient for the other health problem because a lot of medications are contraindicated when a diabetic patient is under medication.

or another motivation -- think of the clothes you can wear when you have slimmed down and the attention you will get.

It's different for everyone, but for me, I found it to come natural to eat less when I came to love my body and done things to feel physically attractive.

Also, being upset with how my boyfriend treats me worse than he does with his female friends, it motivates me to exercise. I'm trying to lose weight strictly for health reasons/to have better health (I'm always tired and in physical pain lot of the time), but it's fun having a little sweet revenge. Be at my proper weight like I want to, and he won't be able to enjoy me, because I'd have him dumped.
