Ummm... God does have a name. It's Jehovah. Most Bibles have removed it, as they stick to the old Jewish superstition of being afraid of mis-pronouncing it. Many Bibles still do have it in a couple places (such as Psalm 83:18). I would encourage you to go to www.bible.com and look up Psalm 83:18 in the King James Version, Youngs Literal Translation, and the American Standard Version.

Every time you read the Bible and come across LORD (all in caps), this is a replacement of Jehovah. The introduction of most translations that do this explain why they chose to do so.

There are many names for God. Some are titles and others are more a description of essential characteristics.
I call His name Love (which is His divine nature). Face to face, I would call Him Holy Father, because ours is an intimate relationship. (Holy because, well...He IS!)

Peace and grace to you.

Well, in the Bible he gave us several. First, he was El, and that is what the first people called him. Trasnlate that, totally and completely, and that means Man. So then, God's name, at first, was Man, but when he created us in his image, he named us after him... and then, after time, his name changed as we evolved (I'm not talking from monkeys to human- I'm talking spiritually) In the bible, he says " I am he that is I Am" so then, I Am became his name- I Am El ( I Am Man). But then he bacem God, because I Am Man didn't suffice for us- he couldn't be Man, because we were man, and at that conjecture, and most likely at this conjecture, we cannot accpet that God is I Am, and El, which makes I Am, El, and is I Am Man. God is Man, he is the good within us- that is, if you are Christian. And I know I just ticked alot of people off... but really, read the bible I'm a Wiccan, but when I was searching for relgion, I did sit and read the bible. Sometimes I still do- the stories in it are still fascinating.

Well, the God of the Bible has a name, (in Hebrew it was written with 4 letters - YHWH), he made that name known to his followers and his enemies....

Jesus used it,

just because someone later removed that name from the Bible does mean that it does not exist.

And I use the English form of that name to his face, yes.

For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counseller, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

His name is "I AM," and I wouldn't call it to His face because I would be facing the ground, bowing down before my creator.
