Olive oil is a good deep conditioner to use once in awhile, depending on your hair type it will likely make the hair pretty oily till you wash it next but it is good for restoring moisture and smoothness which will last at least a few shampoos. Personally I like commercial products better they don't leave the oily residue and are longer lasting.
Nothing will actually repair split ends, don't believe the marketing hype. You have to trim them off to get rid of them.
If you want to affect the hair growth you can't do it with any product, you have to do it internally. There are hair strengthening vitamin formulas which I have had luck with. Also I have heard eating more protein helps, which makes sense since the hair is made of protein. If your hair is falling out for no known reason it is very possible you are not getting enough vitamins or nutrients in general, you may want to talk to a nutritionist.

Olive oil or any oil is a moisturizing agent. Olive oil is a bit pricier though.
Mayonaisse is a cheaper alternative.
Your hair falling out on high part because of stress. Try to relax and don't showe with hot water. Tepid is better so you don't make the hair weak.
Don't shampoo everyday. Every other day is better. Condition daily though.
Good luck

Tried olive oil in the hair as shown on the film the 'English Patient' when it was a lot longer - what a mess took ages to wash out to. I suggest you are more careful when towel drying and avoid blow drying, lot of bother but bet it will pay off in the long run, patience is the watch work here.

Olive oil is only for the condition of dry hair !
For hair growth and thickness you should take Omega 3 but it will take a while until you see the benefits !
Hope it helps!
Good luck !!!

well well your have more split end's than a los vagas divorce court,up's you got to get them chiped off 1st.then remember every 6&1/2 to 7year's your hair fall's off and new hair come's.olive oil or musterd oil is very good.but you got to leave it on only for 1/2an hour before your wash it off.if your hair's dropping alot it could be your shampoo and conditner it's not agring to your hair type.you need to see your hairdresser.
