I was thinking if every family had a family member that they only saw once or twice a year, for weddings and funereals, or the occasional holiday. Like, they would live in another city and be caught up in their own life, so they would rarely visit, call, or write home. I think I might become one of those types of family members in the future because of where i stand now. But it doesnt worry me. Does every family have at least one member that is like this? Is it common?

I wouldnt worry about being "that" relative you are an adult get on with your life...that doesnt mean your life has to revolve around your family nor does it mean you HAVE to drop everything to be with them for meaningless drival. Stick with holidays and such youll be fine.

I'm a lot like that, and actually my whole family is. I live pretty far away, and don't call much, so I don't expect them to call me. I'm lucky if I make it home for the holidays because I'm busiest during the holidays, so I guess you could say I'm one of those family members. I think it's pretty common, myself.

I have some family members who live in my town, but we never see each other because they are kind of bad people, we say hi to each other when we meet at funerals and weedings, but I dont like them although we are closest relatives.

kin or not, human beings gossip about the topics of others in an attempt to make themselves sense more beneficial valuable about their own shortcomings and insecurities. What they are extremely putting forward between the strains even as they gossip is "So and so's divorce is undesirable, isn't it? good difficulty we do not have issues that undesirable. i wager that makes us more beneficial valuable human beings, would not it?" those who gossip like this received't end. Their pathetic favor to consistently validate that their own lives are literally not so undesirable, will continually over-rule any class and problem-free decency. Suffice to assert, when you've said a gossiper, in no way share something own with them ever back.
