I have a problem with my PS2...?

well im i have bought vice city and when im playing, 5-10 min into the game it says ''loading'' and just stays there, it freezes. so i turn it off and back on, and ill be playing and 10 min later, it freezes and says loading. anyone know what the problem could be?

Is it used game?If it is sounds like the previous owner used alot of cheat codes.It happened to me,it froze when I started driving fast.

The same thing happened to mine! I played vice city and the creen froze up and the music looped. After that my other games wouldnt play. I took exchanged the game for a new copy, and sent my PS2 into sony. They said they fixed the problem, but when I put the new Vice city in, it did the same thing and now the PS2 wont even turn on. I dont know how to get it fixed, but i can tell you I will never play vice city again,

sounds like your PlayStation is dirty or it might need an adjustment. there are several reasonably priced how to's available on eBay. it will void your warranty if your console is new, but if it doing what your describing it is probably old and warranty is expired.
