where did the matter that caused the big bang come from, and where did the matter that formed that matter come from. Where is solid proof of this matter ever existing.... and if there is no proof wouldn't this make the theory of evolution void, and mean we would definitely have to have come from a higher power?

Nobody claims that matter caused the big bang. All of the energy was already there in a perfectly balanced state of negation (quantum vacuum), like a sine wave and a cosine wave together negate each other to make a straight line. The perfect equilibrium means no space and/or time, so at that point "before" and "after" are inappropriate terms. Without space or time there's a problem with even talking about causality.

At some point that symmetry between all the different possible feild states broke, and the universe emerged. Physicists are still working out the mechanics of quantum symmetry breaking. The quantum vacuum has always contained more (virtual) matter/energy than has ever been expressed in the universe - it's called zero point energy and/or virtual particles. but to ask about where it came from is to ask what was before space-time, which is not a coherent question.

Yes, it's more reasonable to conclude that we all came from a higher power.
It's simply more logical to think that a Creator did, in fact, cause the 'Big Bang' (as they call it, which in reality was Intelligent Design) than that it just popped up on it's own. After you reason that there was an Intelligent Being (that being Jehovah or Yahweh God by the way) who created all things, you don't really have to question any longer, and you have the benefit of knowing what your future holds as well (by means of His Word the Bible, all of life's important questions are answered).
On the other hand, if you reason on the Big Bang theory thinking that it 'just happened', you have a host of other questions you have to search for, such as, 'Where did the matter that caused the Big Bang come from?'. 'What caused the matter to do what it did?' and if you think you've got those answers then you have to ask, 'Where did the matter that caused the matter that caused the Big Bang come from?' 'And the matter of the matter of the matter?' lol, you see where I'm going.
Also by rejecting that God Created all things, you don't have the benefit of knowing why you're here, or why you have some of the qualities you have that don't necessarily depend on your survival (such as the desire to learn, the appreciation for beauty, the ability to question, to reason and control your actions) or even why you have to get sick and die (which is the most important question in my opinion) . So the Creation Fact (in my book, not a theory) is the best conclusion and the most beneficial for not only your emotional, but you're mental and spiritual health.

I'm glad you also see the rationale of the matter. :)

Evolution and the Big Bang are not dependant theories. If our understanding of how the universe came into being changes it will not necessarily disprove evolution and vice versa. Even if a Deity caused the formation of the universe it wouldn't mean that the universe couldn't have evolved from the original materials. No one as of yet knows what caused the Big Bang nor how the original life forms arose. There is the possiblity that these were completely naturalistic processes that didn't not involve a supernatural being or they could be the result of supernatural intervention. No one really knows.

the hubble telescope reveals yes that the universe is still expanding,,,but it dosnt really prove the big bang theory. And thats what evolution and the big bang is.......a theory. The hubble telescope is i beleive God ordained. It is everyday proving that there is a God.Scientist were disapointed when they were looking for the edge ,,or end of the universe,if you will, and what they found astounded them. They found out that they found galaxies trillions upon trillions of light years away.In other words they cant find the end. It just goes on and on and on.Modern science is great because it dosnt lie.How can you look at pics of the universe and not believe in a higher power.I`ll tell you why because the people that really cant fathom in their minds how big this universe is really dont know how to think or understand. All of the great ones like einstein and stephen hawkins believe in God and say there is no way this is an accident.Modern science is getting improvemets in medicine and new technology is finding out thru clear ultrasounds that babies in the womb are actually alive during so called abortion time and it is showing that babies are babies early in the mothers child bearing years.

ROFLMAO
matter does no create matter!

In the big bang theory there was a softball sized ball of pure energy.

This energy became unstable and converted to matter.

You question might be where did this energy come from. It had to have existed forever, or as the Hindus believe from the collapse of a previous universe, which as been going on forever, and will forever!

Ball explodes, forms universe, universe collapses, forms ball, ball explodes ...

So we come down to which came first the ball of energy or a first universe? I your Hindu

My theory is that God made the matter that made the big bang possible. God create the heavens and the earth, how did he create it? Perhaps, through the big bang.

Almost all serious cosmologist's now believe the big bang is a false theory. The modern telescopes in space have proved that.

Evolution and the big bang have almost nothing to do with each other. For answers to your question, read A Brief History of Time by Stephen Hawking.

maybe...like.....we're like germs..... yeah....germs man...germs is what we are..

like...errr..

.germs sitting on the surface of a marble found in the pocket of a woollen cardigan worn by this ancient giant...yeah?

you follow?

and.....and it's like the-er, the black sky is really the lining of the pocket....and like..the stars....are like....shards of light creeping through between the the fibres of the material...from like this...this.......this...this unknown source...which we can only ever speculate about because it's so incredibly incomprehensible that it'd fry out tiny little minds if we were only ever able to understand just an atom of it all........

and we're left hopelessly bobbling about amongst the fluff and old candy wrappers and bits of tissue......

just out of control....

and alone.....

(so far as we know)...

that we use these speculations to offer us hope..

...and humanity

.....and do oh so many great things......

and develop from seeming nothingness to the wonderful people we are today

But just as we reach this pinnacle of wonderment.... We allow ourselves to use our beliefs to not enrich our lives... as we all partake in this ongoing journey along together with er...

well....

everything....

but to instead cloud our views of others...just because their prefered choice of frosted donut might not be the same as ours...or whatever...

maybe it's time we all stepped back to appreciate the view outwards and not inwards..

maybe just realise just how insignificant it all is....

in the grand scheme of things

(whoever's/whatevers sheme it may be)

and if we don't all learn how to get on.....

We'll never find out the what colour cardigan it is.....

or what the exactly this Ancient Giant is actually standing on.....

even if it does turn out to be the floor of a local kebab emporium at 4am in the morning after a drunken Saturday night out in Newcastle-Upon-Tyne town centre/Bigg Market

as you suddenly realise it's all some strange giant donut the keeps looping back and forth like the guinness advert circa 1995 with Louie Armstrong singing on about it all being a wonderful world..unless of course your are poor/starving/being bombed/Nikki off the last series of UK Big Brother (in which case I'd be suicidal....freak that she is!)

that you realise that it's all just a bit of a head fcuk

so let's enjoy it while we can.....

Why does it matter?? All you need to know is that, God somehow created the universe. When you die and go to heaven, ask God that. For now, it doesnt really matter.
