The MD after a doctor's name stands for Medical Doctor. It signifies that this individual has completed a medical degree at a medical school but does not necessarily mean the person is licensed. You will not find PA after an individual doctor's name. PA stands for Physician Assistant. PAs complete a 2 year program (not counting pre-requisites) and work under an MD's supervision. They can be quite good and are a valuable resource.

Physician Associate or Physician Assistant. The letters denote the type of degree she has. I think she is probably either PA or MD, not both, since they are different degrees, but both are health care practitioners. Both can see patients and prescribe medicine, but they are two separate paths. PAs typically have a four-year bachelor's degree and either a certificate or master's degree, while an MD (or DO) has a four-year bachelor's degree and a medical four-degree. It is my understanding that PAs are required to help with the physician shortage as they can handle a lot of the day-to-day medical problems that doctors do without the four-years of training. However, doctors would have a better background for rarer or more serious medical problems.

PA can also mean Professional Associations. If you are seeing this on a sign and the establishment has multiple doctors, it usually mean Professional Associations.
