Seems like you would. I get tired of watching you bicker. Yes I know, then don't watch. I don't usually.

Yes. Bickering. I see little debate going on here. Just the same old tired points being made.

I have been impressed with the anger of some of the answers. I am glad I am not a part of this noble 'discussion'.

I did have a good experience. It doesn't happen this way often on the site - but it happens. I ran into a person who believes totally different than I do, but he was all about love rather than bickering and bigotry and bashing people. I was inspired.

Experiences like this - rare as they are - can help the world's people coexist. It only takes one good person to prove that a whole group isn't bad.

I'm agnostic, leaning probably toward atheist, and Iwould never even bring it up if I didn't have to witness the damage religion brings to the world every time I turn on the news or see how it enables friends and relatives to continue in weak self rightious behavior in their personal lives. So, I try to be a voice of reason, but I know it's usually a pointless excercise since religion is a strong need for so many people and most people are basicially intellectually disinterested and just believe whatever they were told to as a child. I think the bickering comes from the frustration that those of us that think as opposed to blindly believing and the fear of losing their crutch that the religious feel when confronted. It's probably pointless to bicker, but sometimes it does relieve stress.

You seem to be a little pre-disposed towards a certain group of people. By definition, that makes you prejudiced, and perhaps a bit of a racist. It would also seem to be that you're a little bit hypocritical in asking this question, as you're creating a forum to do the very same thing you seem to despise.

Perhaps the issue is not with Christians, agnostics and atheists, but with you.

Your reaction to these types of behavior is totally under your control. If you don't like the things you see, or if you don't like how they make you feel, all you need to do is simply change your attitude. If you can't do that, stop complaining.

In either case, you will find yourself with a much more harmonious outcome.

Some people just like to argue for the sake of arguing--it's a sport to them. They like the stimulation that comes from exchanging ideas with other people and looking for ways to counter other people's assertions. I think that is the case with many people who argue about religion and whether or not there is a God.

Also, people tend to have strong opinions about religion and are usually pretty adamant about their viewpoints being the correct ones. Because of this, they feel a need to go out and try to convince other people that their perspectives rule.

Most of the time it's funny. When it gets to the point they are asking the same question 20 x's a day, it's just boring. The only thing that irks me is when people generalize to the point that they really think an entire group of people is the way they claim.

Have fun. *_*

I suppose you're so awesome that you transcend polemic debate on existential arguments then?

If you're so above the rest of us then you should obviously have something better to do than get level 5 here on YA! And judging by some of your other questions I'd say you do think you're better than us.

Get a life, stay out of things that are beneath you, and let the rest of us play.

I prefer to think of it as intellectual sparring. But when I tire of it, I go read CNN or something until I'm feeling feisty again.

Yep, I'm tired of it. That's why I don't do it. I'm not a spectator either. I just avoid certain questions altogether.
