My husband and I didn't do it. We though it was pretty stupid since we were spending hella money on the wedding and honeymoon. Nice idea, but not practical.

I agree with the first person about spending so much $ on the wedding being quite enough. Although, when I get married at the end of Septemeber, I might buy a little something special/thoughtful to leave behind for my fiance to find while he's getting ready. I haven't decided what though.

My husband and I followed the tradition of not seeing one another on the day of the wedding before we were married. So, I didn't spend a lot of money, but to be cute, I bought some wedding themed movies that we had really enjoyed together, and I had one for each of my bridesmaids to deliver to him before the wedding. I used "The Wedding Singer" and "So I Married an Axe Murderer." Just something cute and corny.

groom's mum will have to buy jewellry set for bride. bride's mum will buy usually a ring/braclet/necklace in return. groom will have to buy canned food & cakes if requested but now usually replaced by red packet. another red packet which is the 'pin li' will ve to be accompanied by 18 oranges(or any lucky number) which the brides mum will 'return' partial of the 'pin li' & 2 or 8 (lucky number again) oranges to the groom.not to forget there's also the dragon & phoenix candles which the bride's mum will keep the dragon & return the phoenix.

STupid idea. Exchanging vows is good enough.
