I belong to a tradition where we believe all the diseases or related to mental state directly or indirectly. If you are a person who can believe what other persons feel, you can disect the word dis- ease ,when you are not at ease , that how this word have evolved century's before, and as their were no diseases as we have now days, it was clearly visible to judge for any person who have disease, he and she is having it because of so and so mental or character defects. Hope you will agree.

I wouldn't go so far as to say most diseases are psychosomatic. However, it is possible for the state of one's mind to influence the state of one's body. For instance, when I was severely stressed and depressed about a number of things (work situation and so on), I tended to get and stay sick. But once the stress was relieved and I managed to actually- improve- I stayed well.

There are doctors who believe it is important to treat the whole person when treating a disease. And I think these doctors are right.

Many doctors like to think diseases are psychosomatic and that people are just nut jobs. (sorry, I'm a little bitter that for the last several years I've had severe back pain but doctors don't believe me).

We can differentiate if doctors would take time out of their golf games to pay attention and actually do meaningful tests.
