Yeah, you're probably right, but I think it still has a good while yet to run in colloquial English. Not that it's a good thing, because it's not.

Here's something similar I heard recently. I know a girl from Rwanda. When she wants to be critical of something, she says "That's so Congolese!" I guess people in Rwanda look down on people from DR Congo. I thought that was interesting and different, but since it tends to "put down" people from one country, I doubt I'd use it. But she wasn't bashful at all about it. I think she's a great gal.

yes. it is true. but when people say it they aren't really thinking about what they are saying. What word would you use instead? this (blank) reaks?
