He didn't take care of them. If they didn't have it in the garden, they didn't eat. He was also a pedophile since some of his wives were as young as 13. He was also a slave trader since he would sell the female children in the church to bewives to men who put money into a special offering. He was also a child abuser since the boys who went through puberty who be expelled from the community to reduce competition. These boys were around 13 years old and were roaming Las Vegas without any idea of what a telephone is. He wasn't mad or masochistic, just greedy.

For Momie2be,
The fact is that any member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day saints found practicing polygamy is excommunicated and are no longer members. (the harshest punishment the church can give). The problem and confusion is that some of these people who practice polygamy call themselves "mormon fundamentalist" which is some weird protestant religion of the original mormon church, but they are not the same religion by any means.
As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day saints, I'm glad this guy is going to prison, but also concerned about the confusion people like this bring to the world.

somebody has to maintain Joseph Smith's version of Mormonism alive. Jeffs had 12 and 15 3 hundred and sixty 5 days previous brides, Smith had a pair who have been 14. in accordance the Mormon "Doctrine and Covenants", you will possibly desire to have multiple different halves to be exalted and upward thrust interior the "first resurrection". the main LDS church has declared that polygamy might desire to be stopped for now for criminal motives, yet they by no ability bumped off the scriptures that command it and spell out the rewards and punishments. My renowned section became Jeffs telling the decide, a woman polio survivor, that she'd be struck down with a dropping affliction if she dared to persecute him. there have been 10 women individuals in his jury. He might desire to be mortified to bossed around by ability of females.

a sad deluded individual
if the charges (or procuring young girls for amrriage or sex) are proven then you can add a whole other series of sick, perverted to the above list.
anyone who believes its HIS god given right to father as many children as HE can in the modern era, and in the modern world is a sad statement on religion (possibly as a whole)
