Does clean water have to be purified?

We have a well where I live and I was curious about the difference between the two!

If you know it's clean, then no it does not have to be purified. If there is a question about it, then it would not hurt to boil it.

I don't think so. Purified water tastes funny. The water I drink is just filtered. But purified water is really clean. People drink water from streams and I'm sure that's not purified. A well should have clean water. :)
