Drink a glass of water. Wait 20 mins (dont literally sit there and do nothing, clean or go for a walk) if you are still hungry after 20 mins, have a healthy snack like fruit or celery. As long as you are making healthy snack choices you should be fine.

Boredom may be due to low blood sugar, which your brain tries to avoid by signaling you need to eat stuff (usually junk - that raises your blood sugar faster).

When you notice you are bored, do exercises, like 100 jumping jacks, or sing a long song very loudly or take a walk or do some housework. Try to keep really busy for 20 minutes, these ways (or any others you can think of). These things put blood sugar in the bloodstream without your eating anything, and that will help take the eating cravings away.

If you eat when you are bored, you need to ensure that you are rarely bored, or otherwise set limits on where and when you can eat, such as not eating while on the computer, or in front of the TV. Judging by your previous questions, I would suggest that you can see what is happening to you (you are gaining weight) and you alternate between justifying it and asking other people how you can lose it. The harsh truth is that you know you have to lose weight. You just can't quite bring yourself to take any action that would involve you eating less or exercising more. Take my advice: take this seriously before you end up like a blob of cottage cheese.

It sounds dull to say, but get yourself outside, even if it's just to walk around the neighborhood. Look around you, at the different styles in the houses in your hood, the landscaping, beautiful flowers, let your imagination run wild as you walk. Take a different route every day, it's an adventure! I guarantee you'll realize sitting around eating, being bored, is as silly and boring as it sounds

I used to do that too. I needed something to do with my hands. I always munched when reading or watching TV. I started buying cross stitch kits. Then I could listen to a movie on TV and keep my hands busy with the cross stitching. You can't put in stitches and put food in your mouth at the same time. (-:
Lots of my family and friends got cross stitch gifts.
Find anything to do that will keep your mind occupied and your hands occupied. That should help.

Drink diet soda with ice and lemon. If you eat, take 30 seconds between bites. Sometimes exercise helps. Try to make sure you are hungry.

Do research! Find out how things become what they are? Do anything to make you think or be active. Soon your urge will become curiosity. Ask your parents to look at my website http://www.herballife4u.com for Total Control that curbs the appetite. Look better and feel great!!!
