This morning i woke up and noticed that there's a bending in my wires right where my gap is. The other side is straight but for some reason this is isnt. I was thinking maybe it's bending because my teeth are moving together but i'm not sure. I called the dentist and the secretary told me something stupid like if it hurts i should "i dont know, bend it back?". It's hard to chew even eggs but the other side is perfectly fine. Sometimes my braces start hurting for no reason but i don't remember them ever being bent. I'm away right now so i can't go back to my ortho in time for a checkup. Is a bent wire ever normal?

To "Jessie..." Her braces "moron". Did you not read the rest of her question.

To the asker: I would call the dentist office back and ask to speak with an dental assistant or insist on speaking to the dentist when he has a free moment. Secretaries don't always have the answers.

Make and appointment and go have the wires tightened, it does sound like the teeth are moving.

Both of my kids went through orthodontia. Isn't it fun?
