Assuming your question is to find out more about engineering, I'll try to answer. ;)

Engineering is more than solving problems. It's finding answers to problems that don't exist. It's about the safety and well being of everyone. An engineer’s education usually takes about 5 years after internships/co-ops and is very dependent on math and science.

If you like technology, math and natural sciences you'll benefit from an engineering education. Many engineers go on to work in completely unrelated fields because they have a lot to offer in terms of efficiency. Engineering disciplines are very broad and generally apply to several career choices.

You can check out http://www.CollegeBoard.com for more information about engineering careers.

Just a note: Engineering Technology is not the same as Engineering. ET involves applying the principles and technologies developed by the actual engineers. ET is generally offered at technical schools and community colleges. You’ll find engineering degrees offered at major universities.

I hope this helps.

Virginia Tech is one of the top schools in Engineering. The freshman course 5-Hour Calculus may take you twice to pass (almost everyone fails it the first time, it's so tough).
