There can be no peace in the world no matter who runs this country or any other. This is because humans are not peaceful. And this is because they have not found peace.

A few individuals have found peace, but the majority have not. If one of these individuals ran the country--or any other--the country will not be peaceful, because there are those who have no peace and/or who hate peace, and so chaos will again ensue at some point.

The dream of world peace is one of those things that will remain in the dream realm.

This is not pessimism. This is better called "taking stock of what is."

People have been fighting since people began. And no amount of learning or "enlightenment" will stop it. Why? Because humans are by nature flawed.

God is the keeper and bringer of peace, period. Not people of God. Again, individuals can achieve inner peace--but if you are anywhere on this path yourself, you capital-k Know that it is a lifetime's work and that the destination will never be 100% reached even in one human soul.

This is one reason why God sent a Savior. Because we can't. But he can.

Good question! What do you find wrong with neoconservative Christians? Our leaders may say they are Christians but none of them live their lives as Christians. If our country was still based on the Christian religion as it was at the start, there would be no abortions, poverty, illiteracy, etc. People label themselves a certain religion but many don't practice it.

I don't think there will every be complete peace but we definitely do better. Government officials and world leaders all seem like cry babies to me. My 9 yr behaves better.

i'm a Christian. i'm a republican. i've got self assurance in peace. P.S. in case you have watched the information recently, the dems. at the instant are asserting Bush did no longer suitable execute the warfare in Iraq, and could desire to have centred greater on looking and killing Bin Ladin. Does this mean your reasoning is skewed?

As a Christian I say no. The world in general is seperating itself more and more from God, at some point God will need to get things back in check....

There should be no such thing as a conservative Christian. We all should be on fire with God's love and his word. With a total longing to see God's way done " on Earth as it is in Heaven"
There is only ONE truth, all else is a lie.
