M hair is curly and i wish it were straight should i get a perm or will it make my hair break off?

The chemicals used in perms and relaxers will weaken your hair and may cause it to break. If you'd like to keep your options opened (going from curly to straight and back to curly) try blow-drying with a round natural bristled brush or using a flat iron.

perms aren't that good for your hair. i actually have a perm but i use moisturizing conditioner to keep my hair from getting dry. also, there's a type of perm that makes your hair permanently straight....it does take a relly long time.

my mate has her hair straighened by chemicals cas she doesnt like it curly. hasnt hurt her hair but she does need it doing about twice a yr and takes about 5 hours each time - isnt cheap either!


why dont u get urself a pair of good straighteners ?

yeah, it's pretty bad. It dries out your hair. but if ur gonna do it maure u have a good hairstylist, and some good reconstrucor for your hair to get repaired.

if your hair is soft no trust me and its curly and trust me on this one i been a hair dresser for7 years

yes, they burn your hair and create more splt ends, they also make hair dry and brittle
