The very opposite happened to me a few months ago at my bank. Back in high school I had a crush on this girl who was very attractive but I could only manage to be friends with her because she had a boyfriend at the time. I always wondered what she would look like when she was older so 8 years later after two kids and a divorce she was overweight and nasty. Thank God I didn't try to hook up with her in high school.

There's was a popular song out about that called Homely Girl by the Chi-lites.
" It must have broke your poor little heart
When the boys used to say,
You looked better in the dark.
Oooh but now they'd give all they learnt in school
To be somewhere in the dark with you (Oh yes they would)
You know the teacher would ask the questions
And you, would always raise your hand
Oooh but somehow you never got your turn
And my eyes would fill with water, inside I'd burn (Oh yes I did)
(Chorus)
Homely girl, She was so lonely
You're a beautiful woman oh yes lonely girl
Homely girl you used to be lonely
You're a beautiful woman oh yeah
There was a boy who used to sit beside you
Who'd like to hold that place his whole life through
Oooh you were beautiful to me
You had a heart no one could ever see, oh yes you did
I was the only one who offered
To carry your books
Took all the stares and laughter
With the dirty looks
But I saw then what they see now
They all want to ask you for a date
They don't know how, they don't know how
Chorus
Too bad now. Too sad now. You obviously weren't the guy who was nice to her in school. She might remember that. So yes, it happens a lot. To guys too. They were geeks in school, and none of the popular girls noticed them. They became successful businessmen later, and the popular girls were stuck with the jocks who never amounted to much later.

That happened to me in a matter of months. I was introduced to a young lady who is a singer but I really wasn't that interested in her. Because she had fake hair and fake green eyes I thought she had a fake personality. At the time I didnt realize who she was but a few months later I saw her performing at a local concert and she was signing autographs after the event. At that time I realized how beautiful she was and how her personality really indicated that she was far from what I thought about her.

Yes. Some people change a lot after high school. If she stalked you then, she is probably still a bit weird though, so proceed with caution.

A few cases of just the opposite: girls who were cute back then being kind of homely now. But never cuter that I've noticed.

yeah its because they grow up....people always think that you're all grown up in highschool..when in reality you are all still just children...so she's a woman now not that stalker girl you knew back in high school...so i'm not surprised..i see it all the time...
