Is linux still freeware? I thought they were selling it now...

Oh well, its your legalty, not mine: Try using a program such as BitTornado (or any other bit torrenting program) and browse sites like ISOhunt.com for downloads of a large nature like that.

Make sure to have a blank CD or two on hand and ready with NERO ro make a bootable OS disk. This will allow you to transfer Linux to other machines, perhapes even a spare machine designed specificly for programming in C++ or Hex.

be very careful doing this unless u know exactly what u r doing. if u are trying to learn about it u should use a computer wiped of everything else practically. i know a couple of people who crashed everything trying this.
