No because "The DaVinci Code" is only a fictional story with a touch of realism to add
to the punch but it is only a story kind of like Noah's Ark. Overzealous Christians are
always looking for something negative about everything to declare if it is good or evil.
If you don't like the book, don't read it.

It's an insult to every religion whose symbolisms were twisted for profit at the expense of these people's beliefs. It doesn't offend just Christianity, but Judaism and even Muslim a little bit.

Codex DaVincii cloacus est.

However whilst it might be a bit of an insult to Roman Catholicisim, and might be a tiny slur on Christinatiy in general, I think the Christian faith as a whole is big enough to take it on the chin.

Not an insult.. it was a fiction book. Although it does make one think about christianity... could the facts presented in the book be true?
It would make the religion more interesting, don't you think?

No, it's just a murder-mystery novel.

If it would shake up anyone's faith, then they obviously do not have any strong faith, to begin with.

Also, Christianity itself is an isult to human intelligence. Every book in the "Christian" Bible is written by Hebrews. So Xianity is really just an offshoot sect of Judaism.

Nah its just a story. I kinda liked the book, the movie, not so much. I don't think anybody really took it as a serious theory about Christianity and Jesus.

I think it is a nice piece of fiction, a story. Is it an insult? It can be taken as one if one chooses to take it as one; otherwise, no it is not...not in my opinion. Because I choose it not to be an insult.

It is an insult to good literature. A worse insult to cinema.

Christianity has endured far worse.

I think it was an insult to Opus Dei, which is very unfamiliar to many people, and that movie is going to be thier only perception of it.
