I ask this question ...because i've noticed many Christians just say things that make no sense! ...they sin and sin and go to church and there ...they're sinless ...most are not realistic... NOT all ..but most! They exagerate too much ....I would find how to explain myself a bit more later on! This isn't to cause trouble! It's a question!

i dont think they lie persay, i think a majority are brainwashed into believing a lot of this nonsense and dont know any better. which could explain why some of them get extremely touchy when u ask questions about it, they have never questioned it themselves, theyve grown up believing it to be truth when all it is is a belief. however there are many hypocrites who claim this or that and dont really believe it (whatever the reason, peer pressure or public view of them)

Well I hate to answer a question with a question, but do people in general lie? Anyone can lie, it does not matter if they are Christian, Jewish, Wiccan, Muslim, Buddhist, Athiest, Agnositc...it makes no difference. People are people, and to point out one particular faith or religion to question if one group lies more than the others, is honestly (and I say this with repect, not to smash or bash you) immature.

I am not angry, and whomever chooses to be angry with your question is immature as well. It just comes down to this, don't lump people together just because you may have experienced a few bad eggs. The majority of people do this, and the majority of people are immature. Don't be one of them.

The true answer to this is only God knows what is inside the heart of anybody, Christian and non believers.

Throughout the bible you will find examples of Godly men and women who mess up in many ways including hiding what they believe from others. The main theme of the bible seems to be teaching us that no matter what we look like or sound like on the outside, God still knows what is in our hearts, and that is what he is judging us on.
If we all lived on the outside what we feel on the inside, then there woudn't be any problem figuring out what a person truely believed.

Why open a question like this to a generalized population?

You ask "What do they believe in?"...

Have you ever asked a Christian what they believe in?

I believe that God created the universe.
I believe that the Bible is the inerrant Word of God
I believe that I am a sinner, saved by the grace of God through His Son Jesus Christ.
I believe that it is my calling to follow God's commandments as portrayed by Jesus.
I believe that without Christ, a person is damned for eternity, separated from God in torment.
I believe that God desires every person to come to Him

I believe that God is Love and that His Spirit is the Spirit of Love. And as such, because I am filled with His Spirit then my thoughts and actions must reflect His love.

Yes

Christians have to first lie to themselves in order to believe the hogwash that is part of any religous dogma. Then they lie to other people exclaiming how their religion is the one true religion. They continue this further with lies like 'only through christianity can a person be moral.'

There has never been a person born who hasn't lied. A person becomes a liar the moment they tell their first lie. All liars will find themselves damned to eternity in the Lake of Fire. That's why Jesus came here He promised to give us His righteousness if we would trust His to save us. That's all a christian is, a person who is trusting God. According to a lot of the people on answers that makes us terrible evil...Jim

A true Christian will not lie about his/her beliefs. They truly believe in God and try to live their life the best that they can. They are helpful and care for others.

Do you realize thousands of Christians have died for simply professing their beliefs over the last 2,000 years (and this persists to this day in other countries?) Why would they die for something that they didn't truly believe in? Too many churches in America, I fear, are more like a country clubs than places of worship.

I'd say yes. There is enormous pressure in Christian circles to "feel" your faith, and nearly all Christians will admit to saying they are doing better spiritually than they truly feel they are. It's part of human nature.

This simply highlights the need for God that we all feel. If we did not feel the desire to be closer to God than we are, then there would be little motivation to lie.

The absolutely do. People who claim to be religious are the most unreligious ones there are. They think they can go out and do anything and then confess and all is forgiven. They just pretend that they are not bad when really they are the worst ones.
