It's funny because it's telling the story of how God created Adam and Eve and obviously there was no umbilical cord attached so why the belly button.

Hmmm. Interesting, eh? Maybe Christians aren't so anti-evolution after all. Maybe they just didn't want to confuse little kids into asking more questions, so they just made Adam and Eve look like other human beings.

This is a perfect question. Of course, Adam and Eve did not have belly buttons. How weird to picture them that way in books.

The incision from God taking out Adam's rib to make Eve.

Oh boy, why the bad ratings - I forgot, this question is to demonstrate that man and woman evolved rather than being created.

How observant you are.
I never noticed, but you are so right.

On the other hand, God, being omniscient, and omnipotent, could just as easily given them belly buttons anyway, as the model for future humankind, couldn't he. That way, their children ( Cain and Abel), would not have wondered why they had those, but not their parents.

Its not really an umbilical scar, its where god was peeing in the sand when he made them.
