I started dieting about 7 weeks ago within my first 5 weeks i lost a total of 15 pounds. Now its going on week 8 and i cant seem to lose anymore weight. Im still eating healthy and exercising none of them in an unhealthy way. I heard that if you stop eating after six that will help and i was just wondering if theres anything else i could do or any reason why i cant lose anymore weight.

You'll be loosing fat and putting on muscle. Your body will be becoming more toned and healthier. Congratulations, hope you reach a healthy target weight, and keep to it. Try to concentrate on how you feel, how your clothes fit, etc rather than just weight.

Your body has become accustomed to your current regime. If the caloric intake has been working thusfar then it's time to both use some more calories and change what you eat.If you haven't already try replacing some of the carbohydrates in your diet with more lean protein.Every gram of protein has about the same calories as a gram of carbs but is far less likely to be converted to fat than glucose.Try spreading the same amount of food into 6-8 meals a day to mitigate insulin secretion. Also eating more whole foods in place of processed foods will help.Any addition of regular activity is exercise.Things like walking, biking or hiking will all help to burn more calories as well as making your body more likely to store more of the glucose in your diet as glycogen to be ready for the next exercise session. Not eating carbs after six can also help, again by mitigating insulin activity. There's a much greater chance that carbohydrates ingested before sleep will be converted to fat and stored in your adipose tissue by insulin. You will lose more weight you've simply plateaued.Try just eating some chicken or turkey late at night instead of carbs. If you leave it too long in between meals you'll offset the advantage of eating more often and be so hungry in the morning you'll tend to gorge for breakfast.Don't bother with diet pills because most of them don't work anyway.

Your body has peaked. You could either tweak your diet slightly or increase exercise time. More cardio and strength training (smaller weights higher reps). And don't get discouraged it happens to everybody. I have went from 275 to 237 and keeping it off, since December last year. So you are on the right track just remember that you will continue to lose as long as you stick with it. Also you could try to focus on getting your 8 glasses of water a day. That helps with metabolism. Also try to cut out salt as much as possible, and keep a record to monitor your diet.

You lost a lot of weight in 7 weeks. Your body will adjust eventually. Your body stores what it needs to survive, so if you suddenly stop eating, your body will take that as a meaning that it needs to store anything that crosses your lips and will add weight quickly. This will negate anything that you've already done, i.e. rapid weight gain. Keep doing what you are doing and eventually, if your body doesn't need to store (hoard) the food, you will loose weight and change it to muscle. Eating six small meals a day is better than eating three "regular" meals.

you have hit dieters "plateau" where after following a diet for a while you stop losing weight. be patient. Perhaps increase your workouts by an extra 30 minutes. you can eat after 6 just be sure its healthy fruits and vegetables or lean protein.
you will begin to lose again, you just have to stick with it. many fail at the stage your at because they get frustrated and quit.
it is common to lose a lot at first then slow down to 2-3 pounds a week thereafter.
KEEP IT UP!!

sounds like you've hit a plateau in your diet and exercise... it's normal and pretty easy to remedy... for starters do some new and different exercises... if you're running or doing step aerobics, do some laps in a pool for a few weeks instead, something like that... you just need to "jumpstart" your body again by changing the routine for a few weeks.

as far as your diet... add some new foods, even if they're higher if fat and calories than your normal diet... your diet has hit a plateau too so it also needs a little "jumpstart"... if you always eat fish and chicken, treat yourself to a big juicy steak this week, if you always have fruit and yogurt for breakfast, try having something naughty like a piece of french toast on saturday as a treat... don't overindulge but give yourself something not on the dielt (you can make up the calories during exercise or having a lighter lunch)

good luck

I supose the only thing to do now, is to take the diet up a notch, not too much obviously, maybe just having slightly smaller portions of what your having now! Dont make them too small, just slightly!!!!
