Well when I was younger I use to cut my wrist. Everytime I did it, it wouldn't hurt as much. I use to cut myself when I'm about to cry or when I'm angry or mad. Now that I'm starting to stress more often....is it possible I might start that bad habbit again?

Don't even let those thoughts invade your mind. Think positive! stay positive! You've been strong enough to get this far. You're different now find another outlet for when times get tough. Call a friend. Get on the computer & look into things that interest you. Got a hobby? Throw yourself into that when things feel dreary.
Good Luck!!
Never let cutting be an option again.

Yes it is possible. Here are some alternative if you feel the urge, put a rubber band around your wrist and pull it up and snap it if you feel the urge. Take Styrofoam cups, fill them half way up with water and freeze, when you get the urge peel back the Styrofoam and rub the ice quickly across your wrist many times. Both alternatives give you the sensation of cutting, without the actual action.

If you allow yourself to, yes. My wife use to cut herself as well but hasn't in 5 or 6 years, so it is possible to move away from that habit. It's important to find alternative outlets when dealing with emotions you aren't comfortable with. Find people to talk to, you'll be surprised how often somone is willing to just listen and it helps a lot more ulitmately.

I'm no therapist but if you don't get some professional help to deal with the issue you may very well start cutting again...I once had a supervisor who use to cut herself when she has to meet a deadline or when she gets stressed, I was so scare for her and didn't know how to help her. Please seek some help if you ever start cutting again...Good luck.
