With the exception of the Native Americans, couldn't we all be considered illegal immigrants? Nobody invited us over here, we just moved in and took over and almost destroyed a whole culture. Our country as it is now was founded on immigration, so why is everyone bitching and whining about it now?

It doesn't matter that they had no formal government at the time, we still came in and took over. And for the person who called me stupid, resorting to name calling actually shows your own lack of intelligence.

Okay, so we are descendents of illegal immigrants. You are purposely missing my point here to spout off about your own agenda. And call me all the names you want, it's sad that so many on here resort to that when they have nothing more intelligent to say.

Brad Moris, it's ironic that you call Native Americans savages when Europeans came here and slaughtered them, raped them, gave them deadly infections (on purpose), and starved them to death in guarded camps.

Columbus who was here first was an illegal invader, abusing the locals, raping the women and destroying their culture. He and his men stole this land jus like all the immigrants agter him. Yes, they made it into a great country, but Americans should never forget their sins as a nation and be more humane when it comes to people who are absolutely the same as their ancestors, people who simply come for a better life.

YOU have nothing intelligent to say.
When European immigrants came here, it was a dangerous wilderness, inhabited by tribes who were constantly at war with one another.
The Indians who were here were basically savages that refused to adapt to a progressive culture, so they were left behind.
In just two hundred years, the progressive culture that took root here managed to put a man on the moon, and create the greatest nation in history - which is why, now that the hard work has been done, and the USA is what it is, everyone else wants a piece of the pie, and whine that they're the victims of racism when we tell them they have to have something to offer if they want to live here.
We are NOT all illegal immigrants, but since you care so much about these illegal criminals, I'm sure you won't mind if some of them come stay over at your place.
Oh, and sweetie, they were raping, starving and murdering each other long before Europeans were here. Like I said, they were savages who refused to adapt.
Now about using your home as lodgings for these illegal criminals - are you going to put up a 'vacancy' sign soon, and start taking some of them in, or are you just another hypocrite that likes to feel good about themselves?

I am sick of hearing this analogy. These two situations are completely different circumstances. The Americas were then not a country or nation of any sort, it would not be illegal to immigrate there at all, when technically it was emigration, not immigration. Now America has clear, definite borders and you cannot just come on in as you wish. America still has an "Open-Arms" policy to immigration as long as you do it LEGALLY! I legally immigrated to America from Germany when I was 13 and I had to take tests, have a background check, and memorize several facts about America's past and present. I worked to become American and am proud of it, and it makes me sick when I see some guy take the easy way out and jump a fence to get in America.

the earliest immigrants did sideline the native Americans, but they made America what it is, or laid foundation for it.
Probably, on account of what you are saying most countries are formed by illegal immigrants. Now each one has a law of the land against illegal immigration.
Also, the nation invests billions in to future projections e.g. birth rate, death rate, social security needs, pension needs, employment data etc. This helps determine the health of the economy and also tells the Congress how many work visas should be issued to meet the shortage in staff for capitalist ventures.
In spite of the availability of legal means of employment and immigration, there are many who just jump the border and come over. They make the data and calculations go awry and thus endanger the future financial security of the economy. If the government decides to grant amnesty to them, then there is a sudden surge in citizen population of the country and it also sends a wrong signal to others aspiring to be in States. They would think that they can jump borders and will be granted amnesty one day/ Meanwhile they are a burden on the current taxpayers.

Technically no. My ancestors immigrated here but I was born on American soil. I'm not considered an immigrant.
There are laws in place now that weren't in place when Native Americans immigrated to this country from Asia. Maybe this is why some people are vocal about their dislike for immigrants coming to this country through illegal means.

Do you really have to be that dim? There were no Laws that time. Stop being so ignorant and open your dimly lit eyes.
How about you look at it this way. It was conquered and embraced. It was developed into one of the most successful nations on the planet. And what do illegals do? Break a law by trespassing. Come in and take advantage of every social service on the table and a whole lot more that I need not say. I was born to a mother who did it the right way for which, I am very grateful.

No, we are not illegal. Neither are the CHILDREN of illegal immigrants. Neither are the MILLIONS of immigrants that came in LEGALLY.
You should be called names because it was a stupid question from an obvious pro-illegal person.
Aren't we all murderers? Killing bugs is murder!
Use fuzzy logic and people will prove anything

You have a very strong point of view. However, we now pay taxes. We now have to buy land to live on & so forth. I am not racist, but when my parents escaped my country's war, we were introduced to this country & welcomed by papers and schooling. I was born here ... but my parents did it legally. Becoming citizens, paying their taxes and paying the government back for their good to us. Everyone should have to do that. Every1's grandfather and great grandfather did it so that we may have that freedom & opportunity. They should as well. It's not fair to have to give up a quarter out of my hard earned buck to those that came illegally & aren't able to find jobs in their country. There is such thing as farming, building etc.. Everyone's elses government is just as crooked as everyone elses. Work with it. And if you think you NEED to be in America to make a living then learn the language and take the test. Easy as that ... my parent did it for us, they should do it for their offspring. Besides, everyone's getting so damn violent about it. Do it like everyone else. Don't just run here, plant your seeds then expect the right to stay. Get a social security number, a min wage job and pay your taxes, get financial aid & go to school ... buy a home, see your grandkids and retire and get paid back what you paid in taxes.

Yes I was wondering that to. But 20,000 years ago Asians
and Russian cave men immigrated to Alaska and moved downwards. But that was a long time ago. This nation claims to
be that of peace and prosperity but they came in and slaughtered millions and made them slaves. Then they went over to Africa
and took some hundreds of thousands. This so called "nation"
was never ment to be it is unatural.

That is absurd.
First, there are no "Native Americans." Those were merely earlier immigrants.
Second, nobody is complaining about immigration. The problem is trespassers.
Third, "we" didn't just move in and take over. You're talking about the actions of people who lived generations before any of us.
You're welcome to leave and make room for a LEGAL immigrant . Don't let the swinging door hit you in the behind on your way out!
(Nice question. You really got some good action here!)
