Well if he has been hurt in the past then its most likely ganna take some time for him to feel confident again. I would say show him that u care, and don't pressure him on doing something he does not want to yet. Just be patient and things will come around...

I don't know. But I want to say this, you both should get tested BEFORE you enter into a relationship.
That shows a level of commitment & be sure to use condoms if you guys aren't promising to only be with each other.
