I have all these goals I set myself to do but I always end up procrastinating in the morning. I am either tired, or I just feel like lounging around. Anyone else have this problem or have some advice?

I am a chronic procrastinator myself. I put everything off until the last possible moment. If i could have postponed being born, I'd probably still be in the womb. The problem with my procrastination is that I am constantly being reinforced for it. I get A's and B's in college and if I'm just sitting around my friends will call and give me social reinforcement. Procrastination is a really strange habit. It hasn't caused me major suffering yet, so until it does, I don't think I'm going to attempt to kick the habit.

I do too. What I would say is write the stuff down and make a solid written plan. Also the reason why you might be tired in the morning is you might be over sleeping. So basically when your alarm goes off in the morning don't hit the snooze button. Get out of bed and keep on your mind that your a on a mission. If that doesn't work then I would say start doing the stuff before you go to bed. The next opinion is to get a wife that will scare you out of the bed in the morning. She might also throw in the nag factor as well.

I do not look at my slow starts in the morning as procrastinating; I look at it this way : I am not a morning person, I need coffee and time to wake up - I can do some things on the computer, read the newspaper, but i actually don't wake up all the way until 10 am. I've always been like this and have adjusted things so I generally don't have to try to accomplish mentally difficult things until then.

Give yourself permission in the morning to do what ever it is you want to do or not do... Sit, rest, eat breakfast, drink coffee or 1 or 2 hours and then take off and do your checklist one by one. You will feel better and more well rounded. Its not a sin but someone must have told you in the past that it was a bad thing. So they don't know what they are talking about. Your body and DNA will tell you, not another persons opinion

Glad that someone else has the same experience! I used to hate myself for it, but now I have learnt to accept that I just have a different body clock as compared to many people; I tend to suffer from insomnia as a result of depression and anxietyd- I wake up feeling tired and so need more rest in the mornings. I have learnt that beating yourself for it does it no good- youve got to be gentle with yourself and allow yourself the space to be different. Otherwise its like someone with a chronic illness blaming themselves for being ill. Not that you go around feeling sorry for yourself or anything- just learn to manage and accept your own rhythm to the extent that your profession and other demands permit.

Like various others suggested...i sprinkle the 'wiped clean' muddle field with baking soda on the backside... pour a a million/2 gallon of 'clean step' into the muddle field (making use of an empty clean a million/2 gallon milk jug to degree the muddle). I additionally clean the muddle field as quickly as daily as I easily have 2 cats. another ingredient I do is do away with giving my cats table nutrition and in elementary terms cope with them with some can nutrition now and back as this seems to reason terrible scent. desire this permits. Say, you think we can draw checks and live off of the government for this "problem" like the rest of the world. LOL

I have this problem also. Best thing I have found to keep me on track is the website http://www.flylady.net It is mainly about home organization, and getting your life in order, but I think you could apply it to anything.

I am a SAHM, and homeschool my oldest daughter, so it's very easy for me to get sidetracked by the computer...hmmm...what was I supposed to be doing?

I do. I get up with the intentions of saving time, putting a time limit on taking a shower, etc. but always end up leaving at the same time.

Most women do but i think it`s natural because people always keep lounging around for maybe thinking that you might forget something while you are not i think it`s simply human nature.
