If America didn't have a strong military we would no longer exist. Further more our country was founded by settlers who had basic christian values but were not Jesus incarnate. Jesus taught how to love your fellow man in daily, personal life.
This is a hard concept to apply to global politics. Turning the other cheek would not have worked after pearl harbor. When you have a group of people or a nation that is hell bent on over running you diplomacy fails, and all of the good that this country stands for goes out the window.
As for communism I do not see how we are worse. Even if they are not invading neighboring countries at the moment; and if they are just happy on their little island or wherever it is still oppression, And that is what America tries to put an end to. If you think communism is a better option then you are free to move to one of those places.
One question...Name me one country better than America?

I am assuming that this is the same Jesus who said "The Kingdom of heaven comes by violence, and violent men take it", who at the Last Supper told his disciples that if they did not have a sword to sell their cloaks to get one, and who used a whip to drive people out of the temple?
Apparently the Jesus of the Bible believed that there would be times when physical force may be needed to protect what is right.
Besides, the US is not a Christian nation. The Supreme Court has said so.

The US and The Uk are protectors of the little nations and have interest in them religiously. Jesus is not a pacifist and he will not definitely be one on Judgment Day.

The US and the UK are not Christian led Governments.
There are many things about the US government that I as a Christian do not agree with.
Now Iran, that is a Muslim Government, because an Islamic Iman runs the country.
Peace!

People wrap themselves in the flag or the Bible to look like good guys while they further their own ends.
Look up the quote
"Patriotism is the last refuge of a scoundrel"

They misinterpret the bible. Religion is nothing more than a power struggle sadly.
That's why I don't follow monotheism. Religions with creator Gods are harmful.

Not sure he was a pacifist. After all, didn't he take a whip to the money changers?
