that's easy -- the himalayas, you could make a playdough model (actually salt dough works better) of them & do some painting. or just make mt. everest. hope you have some white paint for the snow. get little people & put them on mountain, maybe one on top with flag. supplement w/ photos, maybe show some ppl hiking & climbing the mountain, and there you go...

make some prayer flags . Let him decorate them with pictures he draws or cut some out from web sites
