There's nothing wrong with this. You'll get a lot emotional reactions and some "eeewww" reactions. Some people would say that you shouldn't have children. All of that is just ignorance.

Marriage between cousins is common in many cultures. If you love each other, you should do your best to make it work.

Check out the web pages below. They will help.

You're not actually from the same gene pool so having children with disabilities is unlikely. As you are second cousins it is not actually considered incest, even if you were first cousins this is still allowed.
Both of you get your parents together and say you have something to say and explain whats happening. If you are adult and sure about it then i'm sure they will see this and be happy for you.

It is ok to marry a second cousin. The Family may frown on it and try to talk you to out of it. All states allow second cousins to marry You might be better telling your are getting married because you are pregnant.

Just tell your relatives. If they don't support you then they aren't really a good shoulder to lean on. Don't make them push you into not doing what you really are certain of doing. Go with your heart and instincts. I, for one, think that they is absolutely no problem in marrying cousins. Just don't let people pick on you, calling you and your soon-to-be husband "red necks" "hllbillies" or any of that trash. Go for it! Don't listen to other people's bad opinions. I wish you the best luck!!

hey why do they need to know its none of their bussiness. You might break your famlies apart so if you think they will still care about you just tell them. I know its really hard to talk about any personal to any one trust me i know. But its better to say it before its too late. If you really love him go a head and do its its your decision. YOu shouldn't care about what i or any one else thinks. Its not our business. I hope you find your answer.

It is legal I believe. But you both should be tested for the likelihood of certain diseases that your children could have before having children since you are both so closely related.

Don't do that!!!! That's really kind of gross. i don't mean to be mean, but it is. I'm sure that there is another person out there for you to marry, and he's probably not a relatinve. Also, you shouldn't ask people these kinds of questions on here. Talk to your family or a shrink or something, not perfect strangers.

I've heard that before. It's not against the law or anything so just start by telling your mom. (In private) and see what happens

WTF! I guess you should marry if you truly love each other. When it comes to kids you can still have protected intimacy but adopt a child. I'd say tell your parents sooner than later or it could cause chaos and just be honest. Uhh... don't kiss in front of your family they might get upset by that. But.. ummm... yeah... GL & HF!
